"One should always be a little improbable."(Oscar Wilde)

Welcome to the first edition of the Escales Improbables de Montréal at the Old Port : this space is the perfect venue for utopian encounters, for it has always been a place of connections, fusions, transitions and exchanges, and yet…

A crew of artists from different horizons - designers, sculptors, musicians, actors, video artists and painters -, have taken ship together to sail off into the unknown. They invite you on joining them on this voyage, to let fun, imagination and the desire to share, be you compass.

Cruise at your own speed along King Edward Pier, from de la Commune Street to the terrace at the Belvedere, by the St. Lawrence River.

From an array of interactive installations and musical siestas, your voyage will also take you to the port of St. Nazaire, on the musical shores of the Mediterranean; there, perhaps, will you witness the interactive encounter of an odd mermaid-shaped sound sculpture with a few opera singers.

Many other destinations await you, where you can navigate with your imagination, leave the ordinary behind and sail away for the space of two days and one night. Happy sailing!
