In tandem with artists from all disciplines, the 2nd Escales Improbables de Montréal invites you to discover new sights and sounds, to cruise at your own speed in a spirit of conviviality and surprise. From the icy waters of the Arctic to the infinite horizons of the Sahara, the participating artists—whose inspiration or roots derive from these nomadic spaces—will act as sirens or storytellers, beckoning voyagers to join them, either alone or with family members.

With the help of this crew of musicians, video artists, singers, actors and poets, the King Edward Pier will be transformed into a stage of myriad colours and sounds, a port of entry to a realm of imagination and enchantment. A site where the paths of history and legend, of dream and reality, intersect. Where everyone can become in turn sailor and nomad, inventing their own history, together. In the form of a collective poem, this cruise follows the water’s flow, taking us through its mirror.
