Caroline Laurin Beaucage

Caroline Laurin-Beaucage completed her education as a professional dancer at the School of Toronto Dance Theatre in 1999 and received a Pilates training in 2003. She danced for Fortier Danse Création, the Fondation of Jean-Pierre Perrault, Louise Bédard, the Sursaut Dance Company, as well as for Sharon Moore and Hinda Essadiqi. She also works for the company Bouge de là for Hélène Langevin’s creation Le Vieux Thomas et la petite fée.

As a choreographer, she presents her creations in Montreal (Tangeante & Studio 303), New York (Judson Church) and Toronto (Serie 808). In 2006, she worked as a movement consultant with the director Geoffrey Gaquère and Claude Poissant for the Pàp theatre and as a choreographer for the Abraham Lincoln va au Théâtre play (mise en scène by Claude Poissant). Caroline has been teaching in the department of Contemporary Dance at Concordia University since September 2007. She joined in 2008 the artistic team of OFFTA.

She will be giving an exclusive performance titled Hit and Fall in collaboration with Martin Messier, during our night event at the Shed 16 Labyrinth on the 12th of September.
