Grand Magasin, composed of Pascale Murtin, Francois Hiffler and Bettina Atala is a hard to equal collective of artists from France. Since its creation in 1982, they have conceived outstandingly original exhibits, influenced by the disciplines of theatre, dance and music. Although the members have taken courses in dance and art history, Grand Magasin operates with a lack of specific professions. There are no recitals or characters in their work, as well as very few dialogues; however, you can be sure to find lots of movement and manipulations of body, language and objects!

Do not miss their in situ theatrical play entitled Panorama commenté at the Escales 2009 - a Canadian premiere!
