Hit and Fall – Dance and Music
by Martin Messier and Caroline Laurin Beaucage (Montreal) – creation

A creation by sound-designer / performer Martin Messier and choreographer / dancer Caroline Laurin Beaucage. Two artists meet and converse with their bodies and a drum. The sound becomes the source of their exchange, impregnating space and body.

Martin Messier’s aesthetic, a graduate in drum jazz interpretation, can be defined as a mixture of complex, marginal sonority’s, in a strange yet pleasant construction and deconstruction game. He’s part of the Ekumen collective who’s got a free pass at the Escales Improbables 2009.
