Lo Griyo by Lo Griyo – Music
With trance-like rhythms of a West-African flavour, allow yourself to be bewitched by the experimental electro-acoustic melodies of this trio from la Réunion, a French island situated to the east of Madagascar, and find yourself entranced by their musical roots in this stage performance.
Lo Griyo will be in Montreal for the first time to merge the traditional influences of maloya (Réunion), the Moroccan gnawa, and the salegy of Madagascar with some more modern jazz and electro-acoustic fares.
