Milan Gervais (Montreal)
Since completing her studies in Contemporary Dance at Concordia University, Milan Gervais - art director and choreographer - has participated in numerous projects as a dancer and choreographer. She is a member of the dance improv group, les Imprudanses. Her last creation, 37, was presented at Tangente during the Danses Buissonnières event, a platform for young choreographers. She also presented in situ performances on St-Denis Street sidewalks during the Festival Transatlantique (2008).
She will be at the 2009 edition of the Escales Improbables festival in order to present her choreography titled Auto-Fiction, which explores the relationship between the automobile and human beings.
