Olivier Girouard (Ekumen Collective)
Olivier Girouard seeks to instil movement into music. His compositions highlight traditional instruments filtered digitally in noise and impressionistic soundscapes. He collaborates with artists from different disciplines namely dance, sound art, video and visual art. He is currently working on a Master’s degree in electroacoustic composition at the Conservatoire de Musique of Montreal with supervisors Yves Daoust and Louis Dufort.
He will be at the 2009 edition of Les Escales Improbables to deliver an acoustic performance during the Musical Nap Times.
